United States Semiquincentenial Quilt for charity

Description

My sister is a member of the FOE (Fraternal Order of Eagles) in Washington State and asked me to make/donate a quilt for raffle. We decided on a 250th anniversary of the United States as the topic. We designed the layout and chose the block content together. I had FPP custom designs of the Eagle, Statue of Liberty and shaking hands made specifically for this occasion. It’s made of 100% cotton fabric, Aurifil 40wt. thread for piecing, and custom quilted by me using Mettler silk-finish red/white/blue variegated thread. Sewn on my Bernina 770QE Plus, Bernina 475 QE while the 770 was at the spa, and custom quilted on my Bernina Q20.

It’s not perfect, but It’s a one-of-a-kind creation that I’m proud of.
